3rd Time Lucky

Wed Jul 22, 2009, 7:03 AM
Quite simple. I had my 3rd driving test today, and I passed it quite comfortabley. It was my 3rd instructor as well, since the first was unreliable (turned up for 9 of 20 arranged lessons, 2 of which were for my first test day), and the second was a pretencious knob. The third was much better.

Update type thing

Fri Feb 20, 2009, 9:20 AM
Nothing much to say really. Just thought after many moons it was about time for an update. I got an offer from the University I chose, which is nice. Design Technology coursework is plentiful but not un-enjoyable for the most part (since I'm doing a Wii-Remote product study). The main thing going on with the family is a certain member's upcoming court hearing after stabbing someone, which I'd rather not dwell upon.

On a lighter note, new computer, which is capable of playing games without lagging so much you want to pull your own eye out (left one), and my first purchase was The Orange Box. As a result, I now have a Steam username which is damiantanuki. If you feel lilke adding me, send me an invite and stuff.

Various items of information

Fri Nov 7, 2008, 10:35 AM
Well, it's been over a month since I updated this here jouranl type thing, so I figure I may as well do it now. I've been back at college for some time now, and I'm already starting to feel rather tired as a result, but that just makes the weekends all the more enjoyable. I have a cold right now, but it's starting to go, so it may be but a memory by tomorrow hopefully.

Halloween and bonfire night have been and gone, and now the next major event to look forward to is Christmas (or.. thanksgiving if you're American, and you probably are).

Of course, the big thing of the week/ month/ year and such is the new President of America. And being English, I am filled with imense feelings of near total indifference. The main plus is that most people I talk to support him, so it'll most likely be a while before people start to complain about the various policies that they don't really agree with.

What does amuse me is that people are making a point of reffering to him as "the USA's first black president" which, although not entirely true, comes across as if people believe this will make a difference in the way people are treated. Of course, having a minority President will unite the nation.

Come on people now!
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together,
Try to love on and other right now!

... yeah.

Move down South!

Thu Aug 14, 2008, 8:59 AM
Something very interesting appeared on the local (Greater Manchester) news show. At least.. I found it rather interesting.

Anyway, it was rather simple. Apparently some high up government official types have urged people in my town of Rochdale, along with a few neighbouring towns to give up hope of things improving and simply moving to London. The term "Lost cause" was used.

So there we go, I officially live in one of the worst towns in England. =3

Good to know.

Stop Uwe Boll!

Tue Jun 24, 2008, 1:40 AM
[link]

He said that if he got a petition with over a million signatures, he'd stop ruining video games with his terrible films. Apparently he was joking, but still. So far, the petition has well over a quarter of a million names.

Some may already have heard about this, but just in case, I thought it desserved a mention.
